If you’re new to soccer, you’re not alone.

Our job is to guide you every step of the way.

Joining a new club is a big decision and we're here to make the process as simple and welcoming as possible. From your very first phone call, our team will guide you through every step, including arranging complimentary trial sessions so your child can experience the CITY environment before making any commitment.

We take the time to understand your child as a player and as a person, ensuring they are placed in the right environment to develop both on and off the field. Our priority is finding the best fit for your family - not simply filling a roster.

Throughout the process, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with our coaches, staff and current CITY families, who are always happy to share their experiences and answer any questions. We believe strong relationships create the best experiences and we want you to feel confident that CITY is the right place for your child's journey.

You don’t need to know soccer. You simply need to support your child and enjoy the journey.

OUR COACHES

Our coaches are educators first.

They create positive environments where every player feels safe, challenged and valued. Every session is designed to help players improve not only as athletes, but as people.

Our Player Care team, performance staff and wider support network work alongside our coaches to ensure every family feels connected and supported throughout the season.

At CITY, development is about much more than winning games. It’s about helping young people become their best selves.

YOUR FIRST SESSION

We recommend arriving 15 minutes early. This gives you time to meet your coach, check in, ask questions and allow your child to settle into their new environment.

Our staff will introduce themselves, explain how the session works and help your child feel comfortable before stepping onto the field.

For many children, the first session is simply about having fun, making new friends and falling in love with the game.

The rest will come with time.

WHAT TO BRING

Keep it simple.

Your child should bring:

• Comfortable athletic clothing
• Soccer cleats (or gym shoes if you’re just starting)
• Shin guards
• A full water bottle
• A positive attitude and a smile

Don’t worry if you don’t have everything on day one. Our staff are happy to help.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every player develops at their own pace.

Some children immediately feel comfortable. Others may need a few weeks to settle in.

Both are completely normal.

Throughout the season your child will learn new skills, build confidence, develop friendships and experience both success and challenges.

Our role is to support them through all of it.
