Chicago City Soccer Club is very excited and pleased to announce a new club partnership with FC Lake County (FCLC) who are based in Grayslake & Gurnee. Both clubs will collaborate on the FC Bayern Munich programs as well as the USL Super Y League during summer. With over 450 players, FCLC are one of the top clubs in the northern suburbs with teams competing at all levels of YSSL, IWSL and State Premiership league play.  They have also succeeded in regional and national finals of Presidents Cup.

Technical Director and USSF & UEFA “A” License Coach, Jamie Martin has been impressed with the prospects the FC Bayern program has provided players in Chicago and would like to offer his players the same opportunities. CCSC has had players chosen to play in top youth tournaments in Spain, Munich, Sweden, Ireland and the US at the Surf Cup in San Diego. They have also had teams make the SYL Nationals in IMG Florida over the last two years.

I am very excited to offer our players a new environment which will foster enjoyable and challenging learning experiences. Our objective in this partnership is to provide exciting new initiatives to complement our program philosophy through high level coaching and competition for our top tier players” said Jamie Martin

Chicago City are very excited to bring more top players and coaches together to enhance the level of both programs. “It has been a long-term goal of ours to be able to work with quality people within the game who we feel do things the right way for the betterment of the game. Working together, sharing ideas, and challenging each other on and off the field is exciting and we will continue to provide players with more opportunities nationally and internationally through these programs” - Executive Director - Nick Mulvaney

CCSC are hosting the first FC Bayern National ID event in the Mid-West next month in Lake Forest where 2 players will be chosen by FC Bayern staff to travel to Munich next year and train with the Academy teams. Players attending will also be shortlisted for other events in 2018-19.

At the same time CCSC will host the Regional Tryouts for the Pre ID, ID, and ETC in Evanston at the Quad. Players will try out to be placed on the Regional Teams for the 2018-19 season practicing throughout the fall in preparation for the FC Bayern Junior Showcase in California in January. Players will then be chosen to attend the national camps which in turn provide the opportunity to make the FC Bayern National teams to compete next summer. The goal is then to have these Regional teams compete in the USL Super Y League in June & July for a place at Nationals at IMG Academy.
